There are a variety of wipe materials available, each with unique properties that make it ideal for specific applications. For instance, wipes made exclusively with cellulose (paper) have particulate that can break away and contaminate a surface. Synthetic materials such as polyester and polypropylene are much cleaner, however, they are not as absorbent as paper-based wipes. Nonwovens, such as poly-cellulose are a highly engineered combination of the two materials offering the best of both worlds – clean and adsorbent.
